Industry-Leading Lennox Focuses On "Green"

By enhancing more rooftop units with environmentally friendlier R-410A refrigerant now, Lennox helps customers minimize future costs

DALLAS, TX — May 2, 2005 — The innovative L Series® packaged rooftop units from Lennox — already extremely popular for improving Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) through the Humiditrol® dehumidification system — have been made even better.

Lennox has significantly expanded their packaged rooftop unit product line up featuring the environmentally friendlier R-410A (3- to 30-tons). Lennox has taken a leadership position within the industry and is offering the R-410A option five years ahead of industry requirements.

By selecting R-410A equipment now, customers will be able to:

  • Realize the full life of their equipment without concern over future availability of R-22 refrigerant and service components.
  • Minimize future expenses, as production caps are expected to significantly increase R-22 servicing costs.

Customers can choose R-410A in a variety of models including units featuring:

  • High efficiency levels for low lifecycle costs and energy savings.
  • The Humiditrol dehumidification system for excellent humidity control and improved IEQ.
  • A variable air volume (21- to 30-tons) option for building utilizing zoning systems.
  • Direct-drive and belt drive units (3- to 5-tons) for increased units selection flexibility.

According to John Whinery, Director Commercial Marketing of LII Worldwide Heating and Cooling, "The L Series packaged rooftop unit R-410A upgrades are a direct result of Lennox' continuing commitment to providing innovative, high-quality equipment to the commercial heating and air conditioning market."
