Discover the Benefits of Lennox’ Comfort Sensor at AHR 2008

DALLAS, TX – December 13, 2007 – Lennox has been hard at work in preparation for this year’s AHR show, where its award-winning L Connection® Network featuring the Comfort Sensor will be on display. The Comfort Sensor has been extremely popular with customers, according to Commercial Controls Product Manager Mark Hess. “The flexibility, ease of use and ease of installation of the Comfort Sensor have been very well received by contractors and end users alike.”

Winner of last year’s AHR Expo Innovation Award in the Building Automation category, the Comfort Sensor is an innovative product for light commercial applications that combines multiple sensing and zone damper control options in a single device. It will be on display at booth number 667.

The Comfort Sensor primarily functions as a zone temperature sensor for use with Lennox’ L Connection Network building automation system. With stand-alone applications that do not require a complete building automation system, the Comfort Sensor’s many versions combine relative humidity and/or carbon dioxide sensing options with temperature sensing.

Zone damper or terminal box control is also optional in the same device for zoning applications. This modular approach to sensing and zone control reduces installation labor and improves aesthetics by minimizing the number of devices on the wall.

Simple interface allows easy adjustments by facility managers, occupants

An intuitive LCD interface is available for adjusting temperature setpoints and viewing zone information. This user-friendly interface is ideal for office workers or other occupants, allowing easy adjustment of temperature setpoints within a range specified by the facility manager to optimize comfort and energy usage. All models include an override button that can be used to put the zone into occupied mode, or this feature can be disabled.

Installation of the Comfort Sensor typically requires only two communication wires and power to operate, making it much easier to install than comparable products. Unlike other zone controllers on the market, the Comfort Sensor is located in the space where a contractor can have easy access for installation and troubleshooting.

The Comfort Sensor allows owners to focus on their business, instead of focusing on keeping their building comfortable.
