Lennox Commercial Wins Two ACHR News 2014 Dealer Design Awards

Dallas, TX – (July 23, 2014) – Lennox Commercial was recognized for excellence in product design in the 11th annual Dealer Design Awards Program sponsored by The Air Conditioning Heating & Refrigeration News magazine. An independent panel of contractors acted as judges in the contest that had 92 entries. Lennox’ Energence® rooftop unit Energence® Ultra-High-Efficiency Rooftop Unit was named a Bronze Award winner in the HVAC Light Commercial Equipment Category and the SmartAirflow® System, which manages precise airflow, was the Bronze Award winner in the Commercial Control Category.

News Publisher Mike Murphy stated, "These awards give us a unique opportunity to recognize the outstanding research and development efforts that go into many of the products serving the HVACR industry and the awards issue gives our readers an opportunity to read about innovative installation and service solutions."

“It’s an honor to be recognized for two award-winning products designed to offer significant improvements in energy efficiency and utility costs,” said Cindy Sparrow, Vice President of Marketing and Product Management, Lennox Commercial. “Lennox continues to develop products that help businesses improve their overall building comfort and energy savings, while also helping them to meet Industry Building Standards and Regulations.”

Lennox’ Energence ultra-high-efficiency packaged rooftop unit line is the most efficient, lightest and quietest rooftop units in its class, with unmatched intelligence. These models combine the highest efficiency available on the market with the intelligent Prodigy® Control System to achieve a low total cost of ownership. Designed to help buildings qualify for LEED® points, as well as local utility rebates, the ultra-efficient Energence rooftop unit is rated up to 21.5 IEER and 13.9 EER. It helps eliminate structural engineering costs by being up to 42% lighter weight than competitive units in its class. For many applications, low noise units are a necessity, especially in dense urban areas with stringent sound codes. The Energence ultra-high-efficiency units are once again leading the industry with outdoor sound ratings as low as 81 dBA, providing customers with the ideal solution for quiet applications.

The first and only factory-installed option that prevents over-ventilation and can help users save an average of 35% on annual ventilation energy consumption, the SmartAirflow System—working with the Prodigy Control System—is available on 3- to 5-ton Energence units. SmartAirflow helps customers save energy, ensures proper indoor air quality by preventing over-ventilation, verifies equipment operation by continuously monitoring airflow and reduces installation time with simple setup and operation.

Winning entries in the Dealer Design Awards were featured in the July 21, 2014 issue of The ACHR News, which is distributed nationally to over 33,000 HVACR contractors, wholesalers, and other industry professionals. For more information and further coverage, visit www.achrnews.com.
